A total of 191 individuals accepted the Bible truth and decided to be a part of the worldwide Adventist Church after a very successful Revelation of Hope Bible Prophecy Seminar at Tibanban, Gov. Generoso in Davao Oriental.

The series that started on January 19 and has drawn positive feedback  from the attendees because to the timeliness of the nightly presentations. An overwhelming crowd, from the different places surrounding the municipality of Gov. Generoso, religiously attended every night to hear Pr. Segundino Asoy, Sabbath School director of the Seventh-day Adventist Church headquarters in Mindanao.

The end-time prophecy topics has caught the attention of the growing numbers of the listening public as Pr. Asoy presented it, which he also related to what is happening in the world today.

“The presentations came in very simple but heavy with message! I did not regret attending this seminar,” said one of the faithful attendee.

With the attendance growing every night, Pr. Asoy and the rest of the organizers and seminar sponsor from the USA were happy and fulfilled of what and how the nightly presentations and attendance has impacted the whole municipality.

“I am very inspired every time I speak because I can see in their eyes the thirst for this end-time message,” confessed Pr. Asoy. “I initially thought some may stop attending after I presented few controversial truths in the Bible, instead, the numbers grew and I praise the Lord for it! My hope is that, they will continue to receive these inspirations until our Lord comes!”

The series was primarily sponsored by Family Circle, a small group attending the Filipino Adventist Church in Loma Linda, California, USA, headed by Arturo and Elsie Santos.

“We are grateful to the Lord for this very successful mission trip we have. We are glad to serve our former townmates here in Gov. Generoso,” a thankful Santos family said. “Because of this effort, we are happy to see a lot of people come and grow closer to our Lord.”

Meanwhile, the Davao Mission, the Adventist Church headquarters in Davao region, through the president, Pr. Edwin Magdadaro, was in full support to this event and had made this event very possible, especially to the Adventist presence in this coastal town of Tibanban, Gov. Generoso in Davao Oriental.

“You have sacrificed your time, your family and work in the US just to come and do this mission trip. With that, we thank you so much for your generosity and your commitment to the ministry and the church,“ said Pr. Magdadaro of the group from Loma Linda.

As the series ended, a medical mission was conducted by the same group and the Adventist Hospital – Davao that offered dental, optical, minor surgery, and other medical services. (Vecente Macalua/Rhoen Catolico)
