Tagum Central conducts workshop for Adventist Communicators

Tagum Central Seventh-day Adventist Church (TCSDAC) Communication Department had successfully took hold the first workshop for communicators at the Hope Radio Station in Tagum City on September 16, 2018. A total of twelve (12) members of communication department attended the said workshop.
The workshop was proposed by the TSDAC’s very own Communication’s Department Head, Queeny Grace Ivylene Juntilla. This workshop made a big impact for the growing department of communicators.
The purpose of the workshop is to empower and equip Adventist communicators to fulfill the Adventist Great Commission “19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20
Davao Mission Hope Channel crew facilitated the program, spearheaded by Mr. Rhoen Shane Catolico, Communication and Media director of Davao Mission, together with Engr. Jericho Cordova; Anthony Corvera; Mishael Monterola; and Gisel Gaye Angcon.
“We (feferring to our church) must let people know we are exisiting!” said Catolico. He also emphasized that, as an interactive church, the community must know and see the dynamism and enthusiasm of the church and its members. In order to create relationship and conduct discipleship, we must use well our abilities in using mass media for evangelism.
Moreover, the facilitators shared their expertise about news writing, script writing, lay-outing, video editing, photography and cinematography.
To produce magazine, newsletter, video reports, and other media for documenting the activities of the church, the communication department zealously continue to enhance its work force. (by Jake Potestas, TCSDAC Communication Team member)
