Moral Recovery Program in Monkayo

The Local Government Unit of Monkayo initiated the event to enhance the professionalism of the church leaders situated in the area on October 7.

This event was conducted in line with their Moral Recovery Program (MRP), with leaders from different denominations gathered together to enhance unity and friendship among the groups and avoid religious conflicts. Spearheaded by the Hon. Mayor Joselito Brilliantes, together with its Sanguniang Bayan members, and participated by the members of MRP, the event was turned into a historic one.

The Seventh-day Adventist who was chosen by the LGU to give lectures during the event was so grateful for that privilege. Speakers from the Seventh-day Adventist Church included; Dr. Remwil Tornalejo, a religion professor from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS), where he discussed about the Perils of Power and Sexual Abuse by the Clergy. Pr. Japhet Legario, church pastor of Davao City Filipino-Chinese Church. He emphasized on the process of proper approach of ministry in diverse believers. And Davao Mission Media manager, Mr. Rhoen Catolico, gave grooming tips and guidelines in the context of Genesis 1:27, that we are created in the image of God.

MRP coordinator, Nolito Rafael, thanked the Seventh-day Adventists Church for coming as this was the first time that they were so amazed and happy about the lectures and topics.
