A team from General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Treasury, headed by Dr. Mack Tennyson, arrived on August 23, to train the accounting staff on the updates of the accounting software, SunPlus.
Local mission and conference accountants came excited and enthusiastic for the training to equip themselves with the system.
Tennyson, director of SunPlus in Adventist Church headquarters, emphasized the importance of upgrading the system, and why the Church needs to secure its financial activities. He also assured that the money given by the members will be protected through this system and give the leaders information on how to use the money properly. He pointed out two sides in this seminar; to make sure the donor will be comfortable where the donated amount will go. The leaders of the church can also make track of their financial management.
SunPlus accounting software is a commercially-produced financial and accounting software package parameterized to meet the Church’s unique not-for-profit requirements. It helps the Church to give convenient service and financial security of the organization.
